Children's Safety Reminder

Gentle reminder :

The safety of our children is paramount, and we are asking parents and guardians to help keep young people safe by encouraging them to play in parks, playgrounds, and other suitable recreational areas rather than in the road.

Whilst many motorists drive responsibly through our communities, unfortunately not all drivers take the care and attention they should when travelling along residential streets. Children playing in or near the roadway may not be seen by drivers in time, which significantly increases the risk of a serious collision.

We have also received reports of children playing on private drives and within residential parking areas. These areas are intended for residents and authorised visitors only and are not suitable places for children to play due to vehicles regularly entering and leaving.
